Apple to roll out iOS 16.1 update on Oct 24: 'Live Activities', 'Matter' to 'Clean Energy Charging'

Apple is all set to roll out an iOS 16.1 update with new features, including 'Live Activities', 'Clean Energy Charging'.

The tech giant had announced that it will be rolling out the much delayed iPadOS 16 on October 24.

This led many to speculate that the iOS 16.1 update might just get released by Apple at the same time as iPadOS 16.

As per recent reports, Apple is indeed officially rolling out the fresh iOS 16.1 update for iPhones on Monday along with the iPadOS 16.

Any iPhone that currently runs on the iOS 16 will be able to get the iOS 16.1 update.

All Apple phones including the iPhone 8, iPhone 9 and newer models are eligible for the update.

Apart from this, the software update will come with support for iCloud Shared Photo Library.

With  this, you will be able to share your photos with five other people who also can have rights to add pictures, make edits or remove.

Meanwhile, Live Activities will let users stay updated about things in real-time from the lock screen.
