Google Join Hands With NASA To Develop 3D Solar System Models
Google has been employing AR technology to bring the planets and moons of our solar system, as well as other exotic creatures, to life in your living room.
These 3D models are primarily intended for educational usage, providing users with useful knowledge about each subject.
Reportedly, Google Arts & Culture has worked with NASA to create a new online exhibit.
That will feature a collection of updated 3D models of the cosmos that have been brought to life using augmented reality (AR) technology.
This announcement was made yesterday. But there's more to these 3D models than just amusement.
When chosen, historical annotations in the simulated solar system exhibit display useful information.
Apollo 11 and China's Change-4 both made landings on the moon, for instance.
Even man-made assets like satellites, spaceships, and the James Webb Space Telescope have 3D models.
With Google Search enabled in a web browser, it is now possible to view the aforementioned 3D models.
The historical annotations may be accessed without any extra applications.
